Notes on using Blender 2.8
- consider different modes, e. g. Object mode and Edit mode
- consider Vertices, Edges and Faces
- to separate things in edit mode, select them and press "P"
- to set the cursor location:
- dragging with mouse:
shift spacebar spacebar
- more options:
shift s
- options to move selection to cursor:
shift s
- to rotate things by x deg around the cursor location:
- set the cursor first
- hit
r <deg as number>
- to create faces, multi-select vertices and hit
f
- to extrude faces, edges or vertices select them, hit
e
and <x,y,z>
for extruding parallel to x,y,z-axis
- add a material to faces, with color and transparency properties
- add light to collection in order to make objects visible and set shadow properties
- add a camera and align it towards the object in order to boarder the render view
- add freestyle edges in order to make them visible after rendering
- multi-select edges in edit mode,
- right click mouse, select "Mark Freestyle Edge"
- adjust View Layer Properties: Freestyle, Freestyle Line Set, Freestyle Line Style, Filter: Freestyle
- adjust Render Properties: Freestyle
